How much should I pay for a 2011 GT500?
Hey everyone!
Like the title says, I'm looking to trade in my 2005 GT for a 2011 GT500.
I was at the dealership on Tuesday for an oil change when a new GT500
rolled off the truck. I fell in love at first sight and took it out for a spin.
The car had only 3 miles on it! I gave it back with 16 miles on the odometer
and let me tell you I absolutely loved the ride and power!
The car they had was black, which is not my first choice, but they found a
Sterling Gray that they could get for me. This is the list of options it has:
- SVT PP (A must!)
- Electronics Package
- Glass Roof
- Stripe Delete
The question is how much should I let my GT go for with 57,000 miles, but
most importantly how much I should pay for the GT500. Sticker was
$57,000 and they are not marking up the price, but how much lower
should I negotiate?
Thanks in advance!

They'll probably give you $13-14k for yours and maybe come down $1-3K of the MSRP if you're lucky..... I really can't see you getting much more of a deal seeing that it is a 2011. A 2010 might be a different story.....

That was about what I'm looking to get out of my car.
I will have to pay cash for it though because I'm moving
overseas in January and taking the car with me. (It can't
leave the country without the title, right?)
I'm thinking paying cash will push the dealer to give me
a good deal on it, no?

Not sure why cash would help you to be honest. Whether you finance it through a bank or pay cash, they get the same amount. IF you finance it through them (or lead them to believe you will) I think you'd have a better chance of them marking the price down, because they'll be making that back up some in interest.
But I could be wrong. Perhaps in this economy they need liquid cash more than steady interest payments.

if your paying cash, you don't go to the dealer and ask for money off, come up with what you think is good and go in there with your cash offer. I would probably start at 4k under MSRP as that will get you pretty close to invoice. I'm surprised there's no mark up on it. All the dealers around here tac on a 10k "special vehicle cost"
