my question was rhetorical.
but if you want to take my question literally, then, if i was going to drop 100k for a race car, i want it to go as fast as it possibly can.
so if you offer me either a 2.3L SC or a 4.0, that's a no brainer for me.
give me the Whipple 4.0!

In reality, you should forget about having the hottest production car, because there will always be someone who will beat you. Even if you get a 2011 5.0 Coyote right now, the GT500 already trumps it. And even then, there are 'Vettes that trump the GT500. And from there, there are other production cars, although much more expensive, that will trump a $100,000 optioned out 'Vette.
Now, back to GT level cars: There are guys with SN95s (SN95s!!!!) that are modded with just bolt-ions and they very easily trump my Coyote any day of the week.
This proves that you do not have to have a '11 GT, a '12 Boss, or even a GT500 to get more street power than the latest production cars.

Yes, the CJ is never meant to replace a GT like a '12 Boss will do.
