Before or after? v. black emblem
Before:
After:
The emblem is satin black. I was planning on putting matte vinyl on for a blackout on the trunk but I may leave it as is.

That's a tough one!! They both look good in different ways! I like the black emblem, but I also like the black panel too!!

Flip a coin and go with that because both look equally great.
But if you want a pinch of flair and be a little different, go with black.

Reason for the change is I just got tired of all the plastic...it was on there when I bought the car and I liked the look, but I prefer more of a "modded but could still be OEM" look.

Why not keep that blackout panel with the black emblem? see how it looks.

See above, I wanted to get rid of the plastic and I may do a matte vinyl blackout.

I liked the before better....sorry. I would actually add the black emblem to the befroe pic & that IMO would be the best!
How did you do the back emblem?

Satin black emblem with the gloss black panel...too many different finishes for my taste.
To do the emblem I masked the GT emblem, scuffed the chrome with 330, 2 coats of primer and 3 coats of satin black, 800 wetsand between each coat.
