Boss finishes 2nd in grand am 200

A couple more things:
Here are the results from that race:
http://www.grand-am.com/schedule/res...ies=k&eid=2351
That 2nd place Mustang beat 8 out of 9 M3's that were entered. The M3 entries were fielded by big names like Turner, Fall-Line, and Bimmerworld. The 128's that I'm familiar with use Turner parts so I'm sure Turner has developed the M3 just as thoroughly. Also, Jack Roush Jr. crashed out early in his 302 and he definitely could have been a contender.
I'm not really sure why I'm saying this though because you can't compare stock, street versions of two cars to their racing counterparts which are prepared to be equal speeds so that the racing stays interesting.

To be honest, the article mentions that other BMWs were entered in the race under different teams and the boss indeed did beat them.
So just because we didn't beat EVERY BMW doesn't mean that the boss isn't capable of taking them down. And as everybody said, racing is far from cut and dry car vs. car.

You guys have to remember that when they said the new Boss could beat any BMW that they are talking about them both as completely stock. Both of those vehicles in the Grand am are heavily modded. Either way, I'll still take 2nd. It's pretty amazing what they are doing with our mustangs these days, from track to strip, it can do it all! I love my 5.0!
