Your right, you can just swap out a PCM, unless you update the VIN, serial number, etc and reflash the unit before you use it, which is exactly what I'm looking to do anyway.

I'm with those that think you need to have your existing PCM reflashed. My guess is that the HP tuner files were corrupt or that the PCM has a corrupt file and just needs to be overwritten.

Should be able to overwrite. Make sure you unplug the depower the pcm to reset the keep alive memory..... should be able to do it after that.

Sure enough, I should have had more faith in my tuning guy from the beginning. After contacting HP Tuners and getting a software update we were able to get the new tune installed and everything working great. I was worried there for a bit...

Great to hear you have your ECU/PCM problems solved.
