If you pull the rear seats out, you will see how simple it will be to measure it and cutout the shapes. If I recall correctly, the back of the seat, start laying it forward like you're going to open up the passthrough, and maybe a little more then halfway, start pulling them away from the body and they slide right out. It doesnt take a lot of pressure. Then you'll know what I mean about how light they are! Once the backs are removed, I think there is a tab on the bottom cushion near the edge or middle of each one and you either pull it out and lift or use the tab to pop them out. Again - extremely light.
Just a little correction there since I just recently had to remove mine. First you remove the bottom part by pressing 2 tabs (1 on driver's and 1 on passenger's sides) and pulling the bottom part up. Then for the back part of it you're going to see 3 screws at the bottom where the bottom part of the seat was (2 on the sides and 1 in the middle)-- they are either 12mm or 14mm. After you remove those just unlock the top part of the back on each side and remove them. The things are about 20 lbs and reading description at http://www.americanmuscle.com/seat-delete-kit-05.html where it says "Remove up to 40 pounds" just makes me laugh because of how misinformative that part is.
The kits posted are very clean looking and tasteful....but as an option, you could go my route (ignore the cage). Please note thatthe rear interior was carefully designed to match the front interior....no carpet there either.
Man, you need to remove that factory dampener stuff they smear all over the place. I chipped a bit out of my trunk when ironically i was putting in sound deadener and id bet you could shave off a good 10 lbs. That stuff was all over the place and somewhat thick in places.
