With the sub-par V6 driveshafts I'd advise against that. Around 118ish they like to come apart (I think it only applies to '05/06's though) but still....

I had a VR6 Jetta that I pushed to around there a while ago. It was pretty unnerving, much less stable than the 'stang at higher speeds. Once I passed 130 the speedo dropped to 0 but my gps indicated that I was still climbing, slowly

No offense taking, I knew you were joking. ;-)
Wow, the little 3.0 24 valve on the Duster is impressive!
No, I have never tried to get up to 145 MPH. Honestly, I don't get on the highway that much, maybe once a month. I take all back roads to work, which is only 3.7 miles away. =-)

Yeah, I also read that somewhere. Not worth trying and finding out!

I took mine off but when I had them on, I went and bought even more 3M than they provided and bullet proofed it by putting a few more thin layers of 3M behind the outside strip and mine stayed on pretty good till I wanted to take them off.

when attaching tape to the car's paint you'll need to remove all the wax. Assuming that you take care of your Mustang I bet there was a good build up of wax, which even fresh tape doesn't like to stick to.
I would have used clay around the edges, as well as some strong solvent to prep the area.

I used 3M red double sided tape, which is nice and thin but still pretty strong, when I had one louver pop loose at one of its corners.
And just remember to hold the louver onto the car for the prescribed amount of time and all should go well.

I wouldn't recommend washing the car after installing louvers. The car should have been cleaned BEFORE anyway... don't install tape-on parts on a dirty car.

I washed the area around the window before I started the install. The pollen is horrible now and I knew I would have to wash it again soon. I also used the alcohol packets that were provided and wiped around the window thoroughly. The good news is, since I re-did the corner, everything is sticking as it should!! Using 91% alcohol to wipe around the area and stronger 3M tape from Home Depot did the trick!! =-)
