schweet. Now I need injectors, BAP to be safe, and I should probably change out my spark plugs.

you might have been talking to me , I originally set up the intercooler for a blow off valve , but changed it back to bypass after I learned I need a new maf for blow through

woo whoo! That's the pic I remember

.. Actually, it also might have been another member with a White GT also with a fabricated intercooler kit.

I really like those BOV's on the Vortechs.. It's true about the MAF needing to be reworked to make the BOV possible..

Ahh yes idk why I forgot about there being a bypass valve non intercooled!

I'm trying to decide if I'll be safe running stock internals and just 39 # injectors and a BAP with the stock pulley, non-intercooled. If I decide it's safe, I'll be putting it on soon!

From the various articles in lots of different magazines, and the from all the different FI mfgs.. and from personally knowing people that have this setup.. My opinion, its safe..

one thought to add to your thinking - when Ford Racing adds their whipple style S/C to a 4.6.. with similar HP gains... this is all they change out.. and still keeps the warranty..

and Roush.. etc...

I think that's enough reason for me Don't the whipples make a good bit more horsepower as well?

well... I know the Roush gets around 435hp... and i belive the FRPP one is close to that.. but the biggest difference is the ft-lbs of Torque, they're much higher and especially at lower RPM (in my opinion where most damage can occur) than the centrifugal style (Vortech v3)

They're all within 25-50 hp of each other.. I mean you can only compress air so many different ways.. but in the end, its still compressed air..

That's very true. Thanks man, you may have singlehandedly swayed me. I still need to get those spark plugs you recommended though.
