Default Subtle changes to the Mustang to come?

http://www.autoblog.com/2011/11/04/n...channel-gt500/

Looks like Ford is trying to incorporate the styling of the GT500 into the GT model. Is this for the 2013 model, because they aren't doing whole new body.

I'll reserve judgment on the 2013 until I actually see one...but I'm not loving the changes I can see from those pics.

I think the GT500 front end only works when you have a bigger front valance (looks like they kept something similar to the V6 bumper in those photos). Also, the current Mustang hood is the best hood Ford has ever made IMO...and it looks like they might have ruined it to incorporate the GT500 grill.

I'm not sure why they felt it necessary to add more black plastic around the license plate. The rear wing is ugly. The exhaust tips are small and plain (assuming those won't see production). The rear-end appears to still curve in with the tail lights curving up so whatever changes were made, they don't seem to be enough or the right ones.

The projector headlights appear to be nearly the same as the HIDs on my 2010 with minor cosmetic changes (I don't see the LEDs they mentioned in the captions).

Like I said, not judging yet....but not very optimistic either.

Im also wondering if thats not the base GT. Alot of the changes on that car are from the CS model....spoiler, grill with pony logo, side scoops.

Well, since Ford went back to the 1st Generation Fastback as inspiration for the S197, so I think they should go to the 2nd Generation for the next model.

But NEVER do I think there should be a repeat of the Foxbody.

Looks like the rear is still screwed up on it, and I don't know why but I don't like how they keep making a base model look more and more like a GT500. I love GT500s but the more they tweak regular mustangs to look like them the less room they give GT500s to stand out from just another mustang.
