2013 Boss 302 at MSRP
#11
There is a dealership close by that has some awesome deals on their Mustangs (about $8k off MSRP for the GT Premiums), but they have the 2 Boss 302's marked up with a dealer premium of an additional $20k... They are trying to sell a $46k Boss for $66k... WTH?!?!?!

I know, right? Here is a link to the vehicle/dealer...
In the interest of full disclosure, I am NOTan employee, do NOT know anyone there, but I DID purchase my 2010 Explorer Eddie Bauer from them a couple years ago... I really like this dealership, awesome inventory, and they also sell Roush... I am likely going to buy my next new Mustang from there if they keep the prices for cars I can afford reasonable...

I will second that. There is a USED 2012 GT500 with 6k miles near me and a dealer wants almost 70k for it... I sometimes think they were dropped on their heads as babies.

There was a white 2011 Shelby GT500 coupe next to my car on the showroom the day I bought my car going for 59K and it wasn't even loaded.

Wow. I wonder just how many sell at the dealer mark up. Surely some of them sell or else they wouldn't be willing to price them so much over MSRP.

Because they hold out till someone comes in that has enough money that they don't feel like haggling the dealer to lower the price, I'm sure if any of these cars sit on the floor long enough they will go for the sticker or less. A great example of what I just mentioned was the Ford dealer in Ft. Walton Beach Florida, they are located about 4 miles from a military base and they get plenty of business so they can charge what they want because some sucker will come in there and buy the car at that price.

There seem to be a lot of 2012 Boss 302s available online for under MSRP. Frankly, why not expand your search nationwide if it will save you several thousand dollars. As for the shipping costs / driving it back, you're looking at an additional $1,500 - $2,000 or less.
I've been looking at 2012 GT500s, and if I found one in Florida (for example) and drove it back to LA, I'd be looking at about $1,700 (gas, food and lodging) and a great road trip to boot. If I find a new GT500 for several thousand under invoice in Okeechobee, Florida that I can't find any closer, why not?
