I would not trade my 3.7 PREMIUM for a 5.0 BASE

Maybe for a weekend driver it's okay to have the base since you might only drive the car to play with the power, but as my DD, I want to be satisfied with my car even if I'm not pushing the limits of my car.

Hey, no points off, OP… let's be clear, the newer V6 is no dog, and you're probably going to get more utility out of what the Premium offers than the extra 120hp of the GT.
I was fortunate enough to not have to make the choice.

Yes, we are. Check out the events tab. one thing not listed in the events is the Canyonball Run. On May 19th we are going on what we call "Canyon Ball Run" this is our 3rd one. We run 4 canyons in the front range with prizes for the navigator. Here are the details.
CANYONBALL
RUN #3
Sat. May 19, 2012
Start Location: Starbucks – Hwy 93 & Washington Ave. - Golden, CO (NW Golden)
Registration: 8:00 – 8:45am Run Start Time: 9:00am
Cost: $45.00* (1st time cost) $15.00 (Repeat Offenders)
The Northern Colorado Mustang Car Club will host the 3rd in a Series of CANYONBALL RUNS for our club members and our auto enthusiast friends. Different than a normal car cruise; we are exploring multiple beautiful Colorado Canyons in one day. A detailed route map will be provided. Appropriate Rest Stops along the way. We will stop for lunch in Morrison, where you will find a wide selection of eating options before continuing our twisty trip to end up almost where we began.
While the driver is enjoying the twisty canyon roads, we will provide a challenge for the “Navigators”, with prizes awarded at the end of the Run.
*Your paid registration also gets you an exclusive (and Unique) solid cherry wood, laser engraved, perpetual style wall plaque – personalized with your names – with a corresponding brass plate, listing the canyons. Participate in future CBRs at the “Repeat Offender” price and add the Run Plates to your plaque. We are planning annual Spring & Fall CANYONBALL RUNS.
CBR#3 will depart at 9:00am and is estimated to arrive at the Rock Rest Lodge in Golden before 3:00pm. Navigator awards will be presented there. All travel is on paved roads (some you may never have been on) and the exact route is subject to change. This is a Shine or Rain event.
Please arrive early to complete the Registration Form and have your payment of $45 or $15 cash or check (payable to NCMCC) ready. You will receive Driver’s Instructions and the Navigator Challenge materials at that time. Bring 2-way radios, if you wish.
We hope you enjoy CANYONBALL RUN #3 and you can look forward to a whole different state of affairs with CBR#4 (Fall 2012)

Yeah, the new V6 can still be a fun little toy. I own a premium GT and V6, just the over all better purchase to make. I would have loved to buy a new CS 5.0, but coming in at an amazing $38,000 Ford can keep it. I'll wait a few years when you can pick them up for 20K with 40K or so miles on them. No way I'm spending that much money on a Mustang, just not worth it unless it's a 67 fastback fully restored or something.

EDIT: Should have kept reading, lol
