Wiring harness for Pioneer has me stumped, almost done
So I got the avh-1400dvd from Pioneer. I have the shaker1000 unit. I got the wiring harness 70-5521 from Best Buy. I cant figure out what to do with the blue/white AMP ON chords. Theres one coming out from the HU, one from the main harness that appears unused, and two from the smaller harness. I need to wire in the voltage reg and the bypass with the relay I have. I just cant figure out how to finish it and I feel beat by this thing. Can you guys offer any help? Thanks
Smaller harness with two amp ons- http://img839.imageshack.us/img839/5611/wire1x.jpg
The amp on and antenna blue wire, both appear unused right? Their on the main harness- http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/7236/wire2b.jpg

Amp on from the pioneer is what you want. The 2 (antenna and amp on) in the 24pin harness adapter are not used for our cars.
The amp on from the pioneer will give 12v once the audio circuit is initialized. This needs to power the 5v regulator, giving 5v to the 2 8pin wiring harness turn on leads(the other picture's 2 blue wires).

I get that, I just dont understand how I should install the bypass. Is it alright if I splice a wire from the relay onto were the two amps on meet before or after the regulator? The write up I guess uses an old bypass that wont work for me

If you're using a 12v automotive relay to do the bypass, then BEFORE the regulator (it will need to be split)since the relay requires 12v to switch the coil. The link was for general purpose. I say to split it, as the one video below suggests using the power antenna to switch the relay, bad idea, as many will only power the antenna when the radio is on AND listening to AM/FM radio. This makes the bypass useless if it's only going to bypass when you're listening to the radio..
I have gone into quite some detail in other threads about this. 3 second google search:

and another I've given in the past for someone:

http://the12volt.com look at the relays section... Understanding why will give you every how you need to know.

Got it all figured out. For anyone else who runs into this and may wonder... I tried running the bypass into the red ac on wire. Didnt work. So where the blue/white HU remote system on lead wires into the smaller harness's blue/white wire, I spliced on a third wire to the relay. AFTER the bypass, I wired in the regulator. All works perfectly!
