How/Where can I order these Recaro seats for my GT500?
I tried emailing BOTH address listed on Recaro's website, and both were denied and returned, even though I used my normal Gmail account... fishy.
Anyway, HOW OR WHERE can I order these seats, and modify them into my 07-09 Shelby GT500? The regular Recaro seats from Ford Racings websites are $2,800-$3,000, which is fine because of the airbag and markup for being an official Ford part... but those seats are cloth, and pretty visually lame, whereas these are brain melting awesome, leather, and Shelby Cobra embroidered: http://www.recaro-automotive.com/us/...a-gt500tm.html

Look on ebay. I think the only chance you're going to have at a set if takeoff.

Ugh... I don't get it. Capitalism = Provide a product consumers want, and are even willing to pay a totally unfair cash premium for, and yet, I have to spend hours scouring the internet to find something that isn't for sell ultimately.
Come onnnnnnn Recaro/Shelby - I'm not trying to put these in a 1987 Civic, it's a GT500, you know... what they were MADE FOR. I just don't have the $120,000 to give Shelby America for a complete Super Snake build. Recaro's email addresses don't even work. Twilight zone?
Found a really underwhelming, bland, all black, beat up pair for $2,400 on Ebay. Tears, scuffs, scratches, and the most boring color scheme ever. I guess I'll keep my eyes out. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-Leather...7da5df&vxp=mtr

Looks to me those ARE the Ford stock seats. It looks like the only difference between those and my "lame" cloth Recaros is the leather upholstery. Note the little tag on the side? That's the "Airbag" label. Have you tried asking a Ford parts department? It's got to have a part number for replacement. I would not be surprised if Recaro won't sell them as aftermarket parts.
Amusingly their site is out of date as the seat is now standard on the Boss (and I would assume the GT500) & optional on the regular GT.

Actually, your best bet is to call Tousley.
I think you can buy them, but they are rediculously expensive because they dont sell it as a "seat". You have to buy them as like front cover, back cover, side cover, etc.
I think they are part #ed, so call Tousley and see what they say.
Any reason your against buying an "off the shelf" Recaro and just having the snake embroided on there?

Would it be possible at all to buy some Recaros with the same design and just have an upholstery shop custom fabricate an exact leather cover? Those are easily the best seats on any Mustang, EVER. It would be great to get those in your GT500 with matching stripes! Good luck!

Hey guys, thanks for the posts and help!
These seats, as some of you have agreed on me with, are gorgeous beyond comparison on any other seat I've ever seen... so I will get them someday, there has to be a way to make it happen.
I may be able to just avoid the $4,000 for the seats (or more, believe it or not... I still have to read my emails from the Ford dealership) and just buy similar Recaros without the airbag (I already know the ones I want, but they look nothing like these 2013 Shelby seats, so I have more research to do.
I contacted Ford directly through my local dealership... I think I may be able to get them! I'll be the only 2009 GT500 with the 2013 seats, love the look.
I called Recaro, they won't sell the seats directly. None of Recaros emails are functioning on their website. Can't believe how low budget and out of date many of these million/billion dollar company websites are.
I'm not against it, I thought about it almost as soon as I bought the Shelby, but the two things keeping me from doing that are 1) Finding an upholstery shop that can do a perfect job, I won't settle for less, and I'm paranoid they will look cheesy, and 2) If I can get the 2013 Shelby Super Snake seats I started the thread about, they will be factory, so they'll be perfect, and by the time I buy the other seats and then pay a professional seamstress for the leather, labor, and art work on the Shelby Cobra... it might actually cost MORE!
This is what I want to do, make it match the exterior perfectly. I'm doing the single fat Super Snake stripe, and would love to have a single matching stripe up the seats, rather than dual-stripes.
