Speed Limiter

People think whoever lives in Dubai has money. Very wrong idea we can barely afford to pay our bills. Unless you hold a British passport or a UAE passport then the salaries are very low

but besides the fact, why didn't anyone answer my questions with regard to the V8 being able to do more than 220 without any modification with its stock drive shaft? and how come an old 2003 Holden Monaro could do it when a new 2013 can't handle it?

The Holden is not an American car / built for American driving conditions and laws.
You bought an American vehicle that had to comply with several legal restrictions that we have over here. The Holden wan not restricted to those standards.
Most manufacturers limit the top speed of a vehicle so it does not out perform the engineering and components of the vehicle. They design these components with performance, economy, and driving conditions all in mind.

I've had my 2011 GT up over 150mph and car is fine!

OP, the GT driveshafts are made stronger to handle the extra power, and allow those +140 mph speeds. As far as exact specifications, you'll have to contact your Ford dealer or ask them on their website help line, but I can tell you it's likely a bigger diameter with beefier u joints. The stock V6 driveshaft is made of a 2 piece design with weaker U-joints that allow the DS to literally come out of alignment (and oscillate) during high speed runs. This was true for the 05-09 models, not completely sure if this is the exact reason for the 2011 and up models.
If you want to try top speed runs, you'll probably need a new DS, you have several options as shaftmasters makes a few for the 3.7L V6 (aluminum 1 piece design I believe) as well as a few other companies. I'm not well versed with them though so googling it will probably get you a few companies, but ShaftMasters is well known on the forum (just look up their site, and they have their selections on there). Do some research as some are known to cause vibration if installed improperly.
Get a safety loop while you're at it, if for some reason your new DS fails or snaps at high speeds that hunk of metal could very well save your life. I believe AM sells a nice BMR driveshaft safety loop.
Good luck.
