Sounds like you're a worry wart. You will get a ton of mileage out of that car.

I would be more worried about changing the plugs. Do that now while they are still "fresh" to avoid the dreaded breaking problem they have. If you are unaware of this problem and how to avoid any issues, a search on this site or google will give you all the how-to help you want.

Flush the brake system every two years. Change the fuel and air filters every 30k miles unless the fuel is not clean or the air filter is dirty; then change them more often. Don't forget the cabin air filter; a change every 15k miles is recommended.

Your signature says it all...."i'm so fussy i drive myself crazy sometimes."

What is probably worse for the car, is the fact that you drive it like a *****! You need to open it up every now and then and let the horses run wild!

Just put a big Band-Aid around your head, and you should be fine..

There is a thread on here, where the same question is asked for forced induction mustangs, and the replies are very positive! Can't seem to find the thread....

That's actually not a good thing. The threads should NEVER be greased on spark plugs. The proper anti-seize should be applied to the electrode shield ONLY.

As for the reliability of the 4.6 3V, I have 3 words: Can't kill it. (No one knows better than me, lol.)

My buddy was under my car recently and he commented that I didnt have a drip of oil anywhere under there, absolutely no leaks. 27k total miles 9k of those with a blower, over 250 passes down the quarter mile track. 5 trophies in two years why......because the car is so damn consistent because it was so well built.

Have no fear, drive the bitch and enjoy it.
