I have plenty of manners but it's frustrating when people disregard what their mechanic says because of what they think they know. We put a lot of time, money, and effort into being good mechanics and more often than not it isn't the actual labor you're paying for it's the knowledge and that is the hardest part. Remember, if you knew better than your mechanic he wouldn't have a job.
Didn't mean to offend. Best of luck with your problem and yeah if that link is a pedal position sensor for a mustang than that is probably it.
P.S. Nuke, I just changed my muffler bearing and blinker fluid so I'm good.
P.P.S. Mercedes Benz actually have a muffler bearing. It's what they call a ball and socket exhaust flange.
