9.5 is perfect for the front, and i think its about the widest stock rim size offered on any mustang. The rear could be wider though i agree since the car can take 315's without issue(on stock springs) on aftermarket springs you may rub with 315s but 305s work.

my stock gt premium rims were 8.5 wide.

9.5" is a good width for 255 or 265 wide tires, but is a little narrow for 275 or wider up front in cases where handling and cornering response have any priority.

The car can easily take wider than 9.5 at either end, and it should have wider wheels if you're serious about cornering and aren't restricted by some competition class rule on max wheel width. 10" (with the right offset) is a no-brainer. 11's all around is do-able.


Andy - My car also started out with 8.5-wides and 235/50's, though I wanted 4 x 9.5's with 255/45's from the get-go (like the '08 GT500's came with up front).
