Default Mods to my 5.0, please help

I have a 2012 Mustang GT 5.0. I want to get to 500 RWHP or at least a close as possible. The only thing I have done so far is added a BBK cold air intake and I have Pypes- Pype Bomb axle back exhaust. As is, had it put on the dyno and it put down 385 to the rear wheels on the second pull in 4th.
The new mods I want are 3.73 gears, Boss 302 intake manifold, and plan on taking it to CT Performnace to get it customed tuned. To get wherI want what other mods might anyone suggest to get to my goal or at least as close as possible.

Thanks,

Hey bud! Are you wanting to stay N/A or go forced induction? Gears don't add horsepower but are a damn good way to get quicker acceleration. The Boss manifold is one of the best upgrades along with the dyno tune. Is jeff going to tune it?

I have been going back and forth looking at Superchargers, Turbos and lately Nitrous Systems but I think I am going to try and stay N/A at least for now, I am sure I will want more down the road but 500RWHP would be more than enough for me. Yeah I am going to have Jeff tune it for me. I would be at if Jeff could get me there N/A.

Thanks,
500 RWHP would be damn near impossible to get N/A from a stock coyote. Most guys who shoot for those levels just go big with FI. There was a thread on this site a little while back about getting 500 crank HP out of the 5.0. It is worth your time to read to understand what is needed to get to that level.

Here is that thread: https://mustangforums.com/forum/5-0l...the-crank.html

The best bang for your buck mods will be custom tune, headers, x-pipe, and boss intake. Even with those mods you won't get over 450 RWHP.

Hello,

500 HP is a great goal!

If you want to stay NA ... then this is what we would recommend:

- Cobra jet intake manifold with GT500 throttle body or mono blade TB,

-Comp stage 3 cams, long tube headers, and a tune set up with e85.. that should yield near if not more than 500 HP.

If you do a port job on the heads then you will indeed hit 500hp+

Let me know if you would like us to work up a package to meet your goals? We have special forum pricing & many experts on hand. You can reach me at tim@steeda.com.

Let me know when you get a moment!

Best Regards,

TJ

Not sure if I have my figures right, but with all the money you'd spend trying to achieve 500rwhp N/A, for the same amount of money, or just a little more, you could probably just throw on a Paxton, Vortech, or Procharger and have close to 600rwhp.

I personally just went with a Vortech system and then done, you're already at 500rwhp just like that. Tune it up later down the road if you want more, or just stay where you're at. Get a complete kit which is 50 state legal and that's it, call it a day just buy one thing and you're done rather than piece together several different items like the right manifold, the right long tubes, the right intake, the right cams etc, that you might as well just go straight to Vortech if you ask me. Less hassle, and you hit your goal easy. Send me a PM if you're interested

I have a boss intake, CAI, muffler deletes, and a 100 wet shot from NX. I'm using a Diablo trinity tuner, custom dyno tuned, put out 515 to the wheels. The coyote seems to really respond well to N2O.

For the money it costs to make 500rwhp NA, you can buy this and make a lot more than 500:

Plus, you can install this in your garage with hand tools over the weekend. Ask me how I know.
