With only 30k miles on the OD on stock suspension I have a clunk sound on the driver's front side. I didn't bother to take it to FORD because almost everything seems to be normal or known issue but no fix.
I pulled the driver's strut & found a broken strut mount. After abit of searching it sounds like these strut mounts have a short life span. I have some Steeda strut mounts ordered & should have them in this Wed.

Here are the known problem areas for ALL mustangs 05+ for the front suspension.
* Upper Strut Mounts - thunk or clunk over speed bumps
* Stabilizer end links - not being tightened fully or loosening or worn out, thunk or metal to metal thud sound
* Sway bar bushings - just plain worn out, this will make a sound like logs rolling as you go over bumps
* Control Arms - cracks in the bushings will make the car groan/squeak over speed bumps as you drop off the back side of a bump. You may also get deflection on wide sweeping turns that makes the wheel bounce like it's out of balance. If it's the Ball joints, the steering will be little loosey-goosey.
