So the answer is no, you havent dyno'd a stock airbox vs a CAI back to back. Youve only compared stock tune vs 93 tune, and are going by what two competeing racers post on the internet.

Apples and oranges. Even still, they got very minor gains that nobody would be able to notice without a dyno. Even then, the gains are, for the most part, at the top end where my car never gets to.

A gain is a gain. And since the gains are where your car never goes, why do any mods at all. Peak HP is always measured at the high RPM spectrum. Where apparently you never reach, therefore the modifications are not utilized.
