Default oil Leak after an oil change at dealership

hi guys! I am new to the forum, this is my first post. Had my 2005 V6 oil changed at the dealership last friday. But yesterday, as the car was parked, I noticed the oil leak beneath it. I am wondering if this could be related to the oil change. they might have over filled it perhaps? I went down there to look, but it seems the leak is not coming from the drain plug or oil filter. Its coming somewhere from the engine block.

I had some drops on the ground after an oil change years back but what happened was they didn't wipe down the a arm/suspension stuff because it dripped from there. It could be somethinf minor like that instead of a main seal leak. How is the reading on the dipstick?

It is more than fill line. Leak only drips when engine is on.

I would put the car on jack stands, clean any oil you see from the bottom of car, and then with it running look under neath to see where it is exactly coming from.

Update:

I brought it back to the service department of the dealership, thinking it could be related from the oil change. When I got there, I popped the hood and took a quick look and saw the coolant reservoir to be low. I thought about water pump. Then the mechanic took a look, and it was confirmed, they found out that my water pump was leaking. They topped it off, I asked for an estimate on water pump replacement and went home. When I got home, I tried to check the leak again, but it seems it went away. No more leak. Is that possible?

Double check that - the plastic thermostat housing is the more common problem on the 4.0, and often mistaken for a leaky water pump.

They even make a metal replacement for it. I was getting ready to do that before I swapped engines

Yes I did see the leak coming out from the black plastic which was in contact with metal part of the water pump. Do I need to replace just the thermostat housing or would I include the water pump?

It is probably just the plastic thermostat housing - and it gets mis-diagnosed as a water pump issue because the fluid runs from that housing down the water pump. Most of it goes under your intake manifold because the split typically happens on the back. Look at the back of the housing and under the manifold and there is probably fluid in the valley back there.
