Not if u had the existing lip spoiler. Otherwise the spoiler comes with a template to drill the holes.

I bought one of the S2000 ones off eBay and it was OK but looked a little out of proportion. Someone here (think it was the guy with the black 'vert) said he just cut off the metal part of the stock antenna. That's what I did. Looks much better. I used a Dremel and little touch up paint.

AM reception is fine, I don't know or care about FM.

What you thought.

I went back to the stock antenna, for now.

Will have to consider that.

Regarding the original topic:

It was mentioned to me -- from a reputable source on this forum -- to stay away from dealership body shops.

I'm not sure if this applies to painting, but I was asking about work which included sheet metal alterations plus painting -- and it was presented to me in no short order that dealership body shops aren't always the best just because they sell the car.

I took this advice, went to a reputable local shop, and am very happy.

This doesn't imply a dealership can't do a simple paint job on a spoiler, by no means. But for future reference, I thought I'd throw in this fact I garnered from a helpful soul on this board.

I love the Gt500 wing. its on my list of things to do. I plan on doing the rear diffuser at the same time as the wing maybe even gonig to get the diffuser painted.

I just cut my stock antenna down to 5" and it looks perfect and I have not noticed any change of signal.

Yeah, I really like the spoiler/valance combo. I prefer the Roush valance but the Shelby one is nice, too. Getting the original lip spoiler off was a bit of a chore, I used a heat gun and dental floss to "saw" off the 3M tape. Fishing line might have been better.

I also had my "Gurney flap" painted gloss black (it comes flat) to match the two gloss black strips fore/aft of the glass roof.
