Discussion on 2011 Colours
#61
When we first go our 06GT I went to a doctor's appointment and was talking the physician's assistant.
She was probably in her mid 40's.
I told her we just got a new Mustang and she said,
"What color is it?".
I started to answer and she cut me off and said,
"You can have any kind of Mustang, so long as it's black."
I grinned ear to ear and told her that was so true and was in fact what we got.
There's just something about a black Mustang.
Nothing looks as clean or as MEAN as a black Mustang!

I had a 2011 performance white V6. As a daily driver, it was low maintenance keeping it clean looking, just drove it through the car wash every other week - swirled the s**t out of it, but I didn't know anything on how to properly wash and detail a car and it still looked great to me.
Now I have a 2012 black GT and I knew I had my work cut out when I went to pick up my car at the dealership and the guy detailing the car brought it around front and I could already see a light layer of dust, smudges, fingerprints, and dry water spots that leaked through the small crevices. I will say that a machine polisher is a must owning a black car because swirl marks are inevitable and show up easily on black. Haven't washed it in 2 weeks but it doesn't bother me as much as the first month I got it.
If I had to start over, I would definitely buy mine in black despite the high maintenance for this daily driver.
Race Red is very nice but I'm sure I would have gotten multiple speeding tickets by now with that eye catching color lol.

Like the physician's assistant told me when I told her we got a new GT back in 06.
She said "REALLY, oooooo! What color?", and then interrupted me before I answered and said....
"You and I have known each other a long time. You trust me right?"
I said "Yes mam I do!". Then she said "O.K. then listen to what I am about to tell you."
(I was thinking it was something wrong with my check up lol)
But she leaned over and looked me straight in the eyes with this serious look and said....
"Sir, you can get ANY Mustang in the world and it will be awesome, so long as it's black!"
LOL I laughed so hard and then told her,
"Welp I guess it's awesome, cuz it just happens to indeed be black!"
I still hold that as one of the most awesome things I have heard from a doctor, nurse, or physicians assistant... EVER.
Hahaha!
