Default MYCOLOR ADD-ON

Just ordered the parts from Ed Olsen at Millennium Ford and he was telling me about a month ago one of his customers reported that he unplugged the old 4 guage cluster and popped in the new 6 guage with message center and it worked without having to go to the dealer and have the gauge flashed. Has anyone experienced this. I've got an $80 quote from the dealer to do the swap but I don't want to pay it if I don't have to.

Just curious, what did it cost? I thought it might be listed on the Ford web site but I can't find it.

I think he's saying that he's ordered the parts already and the dealer will charge him $80 to just install it.........

please somebody end this madness! I really want MYCOLOR so badly... the green is actually less bright than the white... which annoys the heck outta me!! I rather keep it white all the time... I also heard somewhere that you didnt need to flash the gauges, hope this is true... so it can just be a plug and play mod... hehe.. keep us informed, i know alot of others are curious about this as well...

ok...i'll keep you updated....

The cluster and switch costs 287 plus you have a 300 core charge that is refunded when the original cluster is returned (best have your credit card ready)

for that price plus install $ I will stick with the original which is always set on medium blue with the info area blank.

They let you use the standard Guage cluster as a core for the MyColor Cluster?
