I'm wondering if this might be the answer to the horrible sounding high RPM raspiness that aftermarket exhaust have. I want a little more volume and a deeper tone, but I have yet to hear a 3.7 with exhaust that didn't sound terrible over 3,000 RPMs.

THere is. It's called a V8.

BTW, this site forum really needs 1 single thread with exhaust sounds. A short video, MP3 and a description of what the system set up is.

Searching Youtube for exhaust videos is a pure cluster f**k IMHO.

Look up the frpp (ford racing) borla s-type, and bassani axle-backs. I'm the same way about my exhaust I can't stand how raspy the Roush ones are and everyone's got them >.<

I've yet to find a sane reason why people spend $400 - $1000 just to get a ****tting sounding exhaust tone at 3000 RPM+ .

I'll stick with my OEM exhaust until something better comes along. Probably never.

the pypes pype bomb axlebacks are under $300, so that seemed fair to me. i do, however, think LT headers really increase the sound of a V6. just my opinion.
