Default California, TUNING, and Octane levels.

So, I live in CA. As you know, my octane options are limited.

I have 87, 89, 91, and 100-101 available to me.

For my BAMA tune, I ordered the performance V2 using 91 Octane.

For the Race V2, if I order it with "Unleaded Racing Fuel", does 100 octane qualify for this? Will I ruin my engine running 100 OCT using a racing fuel tune?

Most performance gains are seen using 93 and above. But, I can't get 93 where I am at.

Should I just settle for a 91 Race tune? Honestly don't know how often I would run 100, if ever. But, I also want the most for my money. Just wonder what difference 91 vs 100 would be with the race tune and if it's worth it.

I would just go for the 91, that is what I did since I go places that did not have 93.
I am just glad that Gray Davis stayed in California to screw up your gas and not the whole countries.

LOL

Hey, I grew up a gear head, so I love big engines that burn lots of gas.

However, electric car tuning sounds pretty fun

Ya, think IMA go with the 91. Don't see how 100 would be beneficial, pretty sure I need higher compression for that.

I left California in 1994, I miss the beach all the rest of the crap they can keep.
Last place I lived was in Victorville area but I was in Orange County for a long time.

Yes, only thing that irritates me sometimes is CA seems to be in its own little bubble disconnected from the rest of the US. But, amazing place to live. I'm Nor. Cal. Not a big So. Cal fan...different feeling out there. Too hot. Too dry. Too conceited. Better beaches though.
