Mustang 2012 3.7 V6 VIN Number
#6
On older Mustangs you had to remove one of the front fenders to see the factory stamped VIN number on the frame rail. They are youtube videos about it. No one seems to know where it is on the 2011 + Mustangs. I think its only important for importing and exporting Mustangs for customs to make sure its not stolen. I may be wrong

This is from Deysha the Ford rep
Does not seem like an easy spot to get to. On cars Imported to Sweden and the Philippines it was stamped on the car by someone other than Ford to get the imprint they needed for their DMV's.
As I’ve advised before, the VIN you’re looking for is not the one you can see through the windshield. It is on the cowl, in the middle, under the lip of the windshield. You would have to fully remove the windshield and glue to see it on the chassis. I hope this helps.
