Default Timing Cover Question

Im building a 351W for my mustang, and i've managed to break off two bolts in the water pump bolt bosses. yeah this sucks. i know the 302 covers are interchangeable with 351 covers, but there are several different p/n's out there. i've noticed the main differences are: when fuel injection was introduced, the port for mechanical pumps disappeared, also there are 3 different styles of water pump faces. does anyone know which water pump style is better/more efficient? are there different snout lengths between the three pumps?

for model considerations im comparing an '83 302 cover (my car), a '95 302 cover (random broken cover i have lying around) , and a '95 351 cover (truck new motor came out of).

main reason im replacing it rather than use my 83 302 cover is because THAT cover has a few stripped holes in it and i cant seem to fix it. just wanna replace it so i dont have to worry about it.

Thanks for the help.

The pumps are different, as far as one being better nah. Rotation and pulley configuration are ur differences!
