mine was definitely not a easy job. equal lenght headers actually touch the motor mounts on passenger side. made it a pain in the ***. is it true that poly motor mounts will raise the motor a little bit?

RE: Motor mount install, how to?
I acutally put motor mounts for a convertible in mine. Lowered the engine. I have bbk shorty equals on and i don't any clearance issues involving the headers. My intake was way to tall for the hood I had so I lowered the engine and got a different hood, obviously. I don't really see a reason to raise the engine up. It will just create clearance problems with the hood. I know people with the same mounts and long tubes and have no problems...

I have prothane mounts on my car and I love them. As far as driving manners go you can't even tell they aren't stock. Getting them in was a pain though... The dude that said his motor mounts where simple had some beginners luck. I've done 3 sets of mounts in different cars now and they're ALWAYS a pain.
I have shorty headers and had them off when I did mine. I would recommend pulling your headers to do the job. Your life will be much simpler. And... I didn't notice any change in engine height after the prothanes... The driver's side might be a little higher since the stocker was collapsed.

yeah i didnt want to purposeley raise the engine i just wouldnt buy them if they did. when i bought my car i didnt realize how bad my motor mounts were until i changed them. when i was done i had to move the fan shroud up to it's original position, the guy before me had drilled new holes so it would line up instead of replacing the mounts.
