2010 mustang v6 gas mileage
#11
I have 4.10s/tlock. I get roughly 350 miles to a tank of gas. 380's if all highway; 320's if all city. How many miles per tank are you all getting? That's really more important in my book vs. info center readings.

to Placate NUKE, with mixed driving I get on average 20 mpg on the highway only trips I average between 28-30 mpg all hand calculated, don't have an onboard guage as mine is the base model.

I've found out that I have 50 miles to go before running OUT after the light goes on. So I push it pretty close. Usually I'll drive another 30 miles with the gas light on, and when I fill up, it's usually between 14.5 - 14.8 gal. This is what I use to calculate my mpg with.
Don't know how it's bogus dude? You're sayin the same thing I am, but I just got lazy and just note my mileage at fill up now. The worst I'm doing is being conservative which just means my mpg are actually BETTER than what I'm calculating.
Trust me, after hand calculating it for 65K miles, I have a pretty good 'pattern' of consumption down if you get my drift. But yeah, I usually get around 350ish depending on hw/city mix. EXAMPLE: Let's say I drove 367 miles to the next Chevron. I fill up 14.6 gal. That means my mpg is 25 mpg. I just don't do the math anymore and just look at 367 mi on that last tank. Bogus implies it's completely hogwash which it's really the most accurate way to determine our mpg. My 'real' mpg is actually HIGHER than this because I am not running till completely empty.
