2007 driveshaft q's

The 2005 did have a problem - it happened to a friend when he had his on the dyno. In 2006 Ford improved the connection so it wasn't happening.

I have a 3.5" DSS shaft in my car, and have had it up to between 120 and 135 for 30 min continuous (in a legal driving environment). No problems at all. Never would have attemped that with the stock '05 shaft.

To be 100% accurate, the 2005 and early 2006 cars had the issue with the poorly retained caps. The change to the shafts with retaining clips was after the 2006 model year production began.

wow!

i've got the shaftmasters 4" in my car for about 2 years now... no problems.. i have never been past 80-85... I'm thinking about getting one of those driveshaft loops

Yeah, definitely not a bad idea. I do have a loop on mine.
