Default V6 Driveshaft and Rear Swap

I've looked trough all most all of the pages and searched but could not find a tread with an answer I'm sorry in advance it there was one. I'm looking at swapping out my drive shaft to an aluminum one and the rear to an 8.8. I was wondering if anyone knew the difference between the V6 and V8 drive shafts? If the u-joints are the same and its just the trans flange is different then I'll just buy the GT D/S and swap the flange on the trans end.

It is the pinion flange, not the transmission end. If you are getting a rear end from a 2005-10 you have to swap the pinion flange, or have them build your shaft with the correct end on it.

But if the rear end is from a 2011 + then it has the correct pinion flange

Also I believe that the GT and V6 driveshafts are different lengths.
