Top Speed

Whats the top speed on a 99GT? I had read that it was 145, but last night I went out and my car stopped excellerating at 125 in 5th gear. I didn't feel the computer kick in and shut the fuel off though. Sorry I'm just confused at why I didn't keep going!

No, it didn't buckle at all. It just stopped accelerating. It was extremely weird. When I had my V6,a 115 you could feel and hear the computer fuel limiter thing.

Did 138 in my 00 GT not too long ago, and it wasn't stopping (highway traffic)<img border="0" src= smileys/smiley4.gif>

I have an 01' GT and I hit 145 easily. My car is completely stock and it was still pulling hard. I know it's governed, I'm not sure at what speed though.
