different tires b/w front and rear
is the really anything wrong with having a different set of tires for the rear as the front? the cheapest 295/35/18 on tirerack are firehawk wide ovals but they dont make em in 265/35 so could i get like some gforce sports for the front and be happy?
with shipping and tax that totals $786
the money saved would be awesome and i could use it towards my next mods (xpipe, springs, headlights)

RE: different tires b/w front and rear
Mike, when choosing your tire size the width isnt as important as the overall height. You want it fairly even. So if youre going to put on a 295/35 in the rear, youd probably want a 265/40 or even 45 for the front that way theyll be close to the same diameter. You need to find a tire calculator that gives you overall diameter. And black sunshine, have you even noticed that most RACE cars have skinnier tires in the front. Thats because when you lose conrtol, its easier to regain it with the skinnier tires in front.
