in theory you can race with any trans if you know how to drive it. Hell I could powershift my 94 explorer and chirp second and it never needed anything except rear tires...haha

Short drives will kill you if that is all you do. Getting on the freeway for 2 miles will not help your mileage it will kill it. Don't street race or over-rev your motor. Cruising, any of those will murder your mileage.

then that's why my milage sucks too. Damn I hate city driving, but eh it's a stang and it still burns drastically less fuel than the last 2 vehicles i've owned.

just figured my 97 cobra, and its getting 28.5 mpg, that not bad considering alot of miles was on a freeway and atlanta traffic.
