its still a good idea to take it easy with a blower setup for a while...belts need to break in, blower needs to break in. Might as well play it safe and let the motor get used to the extra hp

with all my mods my mpg hasn't increased 1 single frickn gallon.
what gives?
Is it just me, or who bought a muscle car for the gas milage... HANDS PLEASE!

+1 on what the other dude said. Save $1500 and get yourself a 98 civic HX at 40mpg or more. Put in a CAI on that thing and change exhaust and i hear form the IMPORTERS you can get up to 50 MPG.

Keep your pony for the fun.

have you guys seen that 840HP Fox that runs 91 Octane and still gets 20 miles per gallon in the new 5.0 Mustangs & Super Fords? how the hell is that possible?

The car probably doesn't get romped on too much... 840hp is a bit tough to manage on the street, especially if you're always on the throttle... The guy probably cruises @ 1800RPM's and just babies it...

840hp = No Traction

I saw little or no improvement in mileage with RAI and midpipe/catback mod. Steeda's UDP's gave me 2 mpg on my regular commute (50/50 highway/local driving).

it's just that if you read every mod out there, cai, catback, t/b, especially tuner, they all say will improve gas millage and horse power. i'm not sure how of an increase i've got (havent dyno checked it yet=money) but the car is supposed to breath better now, right? which should = more efficient, right? or am i hopping for too much?
yea and magnaflow would like you to beleive you'll get 15 rwhp from just a catback....it's called appealing to a market. right now gas is expensive so the average consumer will give their attention more readily if they see things like "GAS SAVER" or " 'X' mpg increase!" just because they say it will happen doesn't make it true. Besides when you think about it, efficiency isnt really increased by adding MORE air. The engine is simply increasing power output proportional to an increase in usable air. More efficient would be if it made more power with the same amount of air. If I'm wrong about the last part o well, but the mpg increase is the basic economic principals of supply and demand.
