Default Brake fluid

i have been told about DOT 5 or something brake fluid and how it is so great. He also said that it cost him $66 a liter. Anybody know much about the differece in the brake fluids?

Oh yeah he also said i had (prob) DOT 3.

Please dont listen to this guy. Dot 3 or 4 are all you need for your car. Check out this website

your car is not capable of running dot 5. your best bet is castrol srf its dot 4 and its $72 a liter

only race cars use dot 5 it takes an expensive brake system to run dot 5 fluid.

So wait is it not compatable with my car( if so then ,why)? Or is it just not compatable with DOT 3 and DOT 4?

no dot 5 fluid can not be run in your car. its just the setup of the brake system dot 5 allows for NO water and stock brake system arent efficeint enough to keep out 100% of the moisture
