tires or gears?

RE: tires or gears?
OK, so the GT's have 327's. I get 20+ MPH on the highway in 5th with 355's. I understand that we can't hope to expect to get great gas mileage, but hey, every little bit helps on a tight college budget like my nephew has. My nephew bought some 410's, and asked me to install them, but I refused. Just too much involved, and special tools to do it. I figured the difference in performance would be greatly improved with the 410's, but the cost of putting them in is prohibitive. Or, can any of your guys give me a good place to take it to to have it done in the Houston area that won't rob me?

i live in michigan so cant help ya there, but im thinkin 4.10's cause my college is only 30 minutes away, its in a city where i wont be doing much driving, so since i wont be puttin alot of miles on my car for the next 5 years (five because im running cross country and track and prolly gunna redshirt a year) plus with running in college expenses arnt as high so ill have a little extra moneys

the people I'm referring to were getting 24-25 mpg before the gears, dammit.
edit: does the window sticker really say 28 mpg?!?! I'm pretty sure it doesn't. I thought it was 25 or 26.

Hey Soaring, a place called Houston Performance, right by 249 and the beltway usually do gears on 99-04's for about $275. Or, a guy named Josh at Mac Haik Ford (I-10 and the beltway) did my 3.55 gears for $300.00 on my '04 gt. And he did a damn good job.
