i've never seen or heard of anyone breaking one, that being said i wouldn't personally stray to far over 500hp or go high rpm with one.

im putting about 510 crank and havent had a problem on stock crank..... or internals.. i think the gt crank is good for up to around 600 hp.... but if you go up that high on stock internals.... your gonna have pistons going everywhere. also, dont over rev the stock crank.

I actually know a guy (Chris Kauffman) at Kauffman Motorsports in PA who is running @ 550rwhp on his stock shortblock for over a year now. It does help that his shop is one of the best tuners around. Now his ***** are bigger then mine because i wouldn't push it that far. I think he has a built shortblock getting ready to go in so he can really bump up the power.

Wait a second though... A Forged Cobra Crank should be able to take WELL over 500hp. Look at what the 03/04's were "rated" from the factory at... I personally know a bunch of guys in Florida who all have well over 550hp to the wheels on stock internals..

All about the tune....
