My GT is SC, has 4.10, aluminum driveshaft, aluminum flywheel, T56 and stock street tires... let's just say I need some drag radials FAST.
My setup is good for me, mainly because I can boost faster with those componenents (I reach redline faster= faster boost). I just avoid racing from a dig in the meantime...

i just want a low cost fast car in convertible. Thanks for highlighting other fast cars in my price range. i think that i am decided on a 99-04 Gt or 99 cobra
i wanted to make sure that i got the most thrill for my money and see if there were any cars that i hadnt thought of.
I understand that the stang isnt the fastest thing out there but wanted to see who could hand me my *** on a plate once i buy!
I also feel like i am more informed as to even the odds against those slightly faster cars out there

hey it all depends on what you like and what you waunt to spend i love my supercharged 98 gt but now a days you can hevily mod a lot of cars all you need is the cash. now you need to think which car you drool over and get to work.....

Most definitely. Best bang for the buck mod you can do. 4.10's or nothing less.
I wanted a Trans Am Originally, but I couldn't find one in my price range. They are definitely quick. And it'll take nitrous/supercharger/turbo on a GT to catch one unfortunately[&o]

funny that u suggested trans am, i was looking at a few, i felt like i had to drive laid down! i prefered the mustangs more upright driving position. an the interiors seemed cheep
and brittle. they are sooo damn quick tho! would some 3.73 or 4.10s make a gt feel like it pulls alot harder?

dude you can smoke and toke a 91 camero 305...they are so slow, i could beat it on my skateboard.....my buddy had a 92 omg i thought i might as well get out and walk , what a sad v8.... the 302 stangs would smoke them so bad its not even funny....the corvettte tho,m you screwed...they get up and scat cuz they are lightweight and 350's....lol lighter + bigger engine = faster with right susp. and tires....
