Default O.k. Mustang gurus help me...

Hello to all. Just obtained a 2001 Stang GT Convert. auto, 51,000 miles and as stock as they come. This is the first time ever driving a GT and I am impressed to say the least. Can't get the smile off my face. I got around $1500 to drop on mods and need some direction. Exhaust, cold air, pullys, chip etc. What is best to do first. What kind of gains can be expected?Above all I want to mantain my relialibilty factor. I have been on the ford truck enthusists site for a while with my 02 F-350 PSD and got great info that has taken my truck to a new level. But with this new ride the truck may be parked for a while.lol. Any tips would help this newbie. Thanks fellas...

4.10 gears, dallas speedcal to fix your speedometer to begin with.

You'll spend around 600-700 for everything total and love itttt

I wouldn't bother with an intake. Definitely do exhaust and gears. Gears will greatly improve your acceleration and make you feel like you gained a lot of power.

When you say full exhaust do you mean headers back? Or just cat back. I was reading about the 3.73's vs. 4.10's with the auto and although it is not a daily driver would 3.73's be better?

full exhaust they mean headers back. And if you're looking for suggestions, SLP loudmouth 1 or 2's with slp LT headers and SLP x pipe. LM 22's wont be as loud but will be really deep, and LM 1's with tha set up will be EXTREMELY loud and not as deep, but still really deep. Be careful tho cuz if you dont want too loud go with lm 2's but if you wanna be the loudest in the area, and dont mind having your brain rattled at cruising speeds go with LM 1's

I would go with the 4.10's. I still have my 3.27's and was going to get 3.73's but a friend of mine got 3.73's and wishes he had gone with 4.10's. We both have autos.
