Short Shifter Springs

I was wondering where the two springs that come with short shifters go in installation?

Brand shifter? Where are the instructions? Transmission? Never mind,,,,I don't really know anyhow. I'd just look it up and pretend I knew.

sadly im not sure what brand it is, i got it off of a friend, i installed it withou the springs and it works fine, but ive driven a cobra with the same shifter and it almost launched itself into gear from the springs, really gave itself the short THROW shifter name. I just cant figure out where the springs go?

do you have the springs? when i feel my short throw it is springy on both sides, thats what pushes me right below third from second. so my guess would be on the sides.
