how much power can i push?

RE: how much power can i push?
with a forged lower end the possibilities are endless! with the mods you listed I bet 550+HP is reasonable. when you got a good block and forged internals, the sky's the limit. 17 psi is going to put you around 600 Hp. Have fun!![sm=alcoholic.gif]

what blower do you have? with a T trim pushing 17 psi, you can see upwards of 650 with the right fuel system and tuning. a TKO 500 might not last long though. suspension is a must. if you have V-2 trim, you might be able to get 600 hp. but remember, with ported heads you lose boost, as pulleys are designed to flow through stock heads. so to see 17 psi, you'd prob have to put a 19 or 20 lb pulley on it.
i hope you got alot of money. my motor is built, heads/cams are done. drivetrain parts are in. after all is said and done i'll have spent over 20 grand, mostly on the engine drivetrain and power adder setup. not including stuff i've already done to it, recurring expenses like yet another shortblock swap, 3rd set of cams 2nd set of springs 4th dyno tune etc...

I'm not looking for 17psi yet, so I don't think I'll have the same issues...
Not to laugh at your expense, but most people don't think of Engines or Cams as a recurring expense..

spun a rod bearing on the mach block i had in it. had 270,s wanted a hotter cam, so i got 278's. now im going boost instead of just n/a, so custom grind cam is in order. basically it's just changing setups, changing my mind, and more $$ to spend for bigger power.

Gotcha.. I was thinking you were putting such obscene power through your engine that you kept breaking things... What's your rough HP/TQ rating w/ your current set up??
