Water Pump Upgrade & HP
Has anybody heard about upgrading your water pump and in doing so having power gains from it?
Specifically what water pump would you have to move to and what types of gains can be expected?

One thing with electric water pumps is you never know when they go bad unless you wire a light w/ a fuse to it so when it does go bad the light should go out. I really wanted to do it to my car. You can get electric water pumps for around 250-300 if you look long enough. Honestly it isn't good to have as a daily driver more for the track.

you can upgrade it to an electric one but it costs around 800 to do so, a guy at my work did that to his 03 cobra he said he noticed like an 8HP increase

The Meziere is about the only electric water pump for modulars and go for around $300.
They are good for 2-5rwhp from the dyno graphs a few guys posted. But every hp counts when your racing. One of the best benefits is it will give full flow at low speed like in traffic and you can set it up to turn on between runs at the track to cool your engine without the car running.

What about when your mechanical water pump goes?? Most people don't know until their car just about overheats, or it starts making horrendous noise.. I'm sure the electric one would do something similar...
