RE: 1996 Mustang GT... (Help) Looking to Purchase.
I'm not concerned with speed. I need something reliable. From my experience with other cars my feeling is that the car just needs a tune up. I'm going to talk to my mechanic this afternoon.
Thanks,

If not many parts were changed since the car was new, besides a tune up do I need to touch any suspension parts? What parts tend to wear out fast? Any experiences?

A ten year old car a lot will need to be done from time to time.
I've you love the car that much then it might be worth it.
A car that sat for a long time might want to look at the underneth for rust exp on the brake lines fuel lines ext.
My 96 I new the original owner (in the family) so I new exactyly what has been done + it is not my daily driver so if the alternater takes a dump I just fix it when I get the time.
