just do stuff, if you want a benchmark like that, find out hp ratings (99+ gt has 260) and the find out gains off products and then do the math. but using two different engines comparitively isn't exactly easy because of the different displacement. just throw a S/C on and you'll be faster.

There are soooo many things todo to a 5.0 that its funny. It all depends on yer budge sooo....not sure. Hp at low lvls on stock cars are pretty funny becuase its all pretty much on how yer car is geared. If yer hurting for cash start out removing things. The lighter yer car is the quicker you get to the finishline. I always start racing on a half a tank because the track is so far away and there arent any gas stations until i get home. After I burn a quarter of a tank at the track, my ETs are .1 if not .2 faster. Thats a huge difference and its very minimal weight change. 97 octane gas here is 6.28 lbs per gallon. 12 gallon tank makes it 4 gallons per quarter. Thats only adifference of 25.12lbs. So, if you start jogging a bit more and eating less, yer cars gonna be quicker

If yer just looking to match the hp as an 03 gt I would just throw that ram air kit that goes from the undercarage to the intake and then change out the exhaust. Underdrive pullies too. Doesnt mean that you will take an 03 GT in the quarter but it should get you to the desired hp at the fly. GL on yer upgrades. If this doesnt help, just keep replying. I have some great links that help the newest of mustangers.

yes underdrive pulleys are smaller, therefore it takes less to turn your accessories, BUT they can make your car idle harder, because they underdrive your alternator -- so you should change it to a higher RPM idle (900 I think) Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

Why would headers make my car crappy, someone help me on that one lol!

brockleew I would love some links! To help me out!
