Has anybody got the Diablo Ford Predator programmer from Jegs yet?Like to get a review before I buy one

The Diablo Ford Predator is anice piece of equipment.</P>


It plugs into the diagnostic port on your vehicle to upload the performance program to your ECU. Th changes that it makes are as follow:</P>

<LI>Advance the timing and adjusts thefuel curve</LI>
<LI>It has an adjustable rev limiter and speed limiter</LI>
<LI>Adjust speedometer for gear and/or tire diameter changes</LI>
<LI>Allows you to adjust shift points on an automatic and firm up line pressure</LI>
<LI>Can be used as a diagnotic tool (i.e. it will read the Ford ECU Diagnostic Trouble Code)</LI>[/list]

It comes with a pretty extensive user manual and is a pretty straightforward application.</P>

The Predator can only be used on one vehicle. Once you upload the program to the ECU the Predator will log the ECU Serial number and vehicle VIN number. After that the Predator can only be used on the corresponding vehicle.</P>


Just a quick note. The Predator for the 1999-2003 Mustang GT is not yet available from Diablosport. I thought I should mention that after looking at "99PowerGT's" screen name.</P>

Can you adjust the timing and fuel curve through-out the rpm range or just at wot? And if the Predator for the 1999-2003 Mustang GT is not yet available from diablosport, how come you have a part number and pricing for it?</P>


Is Diablosport the one that make is or just sells them?</P>

The timing and the fuel curve are adjust from idle to WOT in 400 rpm increments with the Predator.</P>


Part Number and Pricing was released to the dealers early this month. They stated that part availability would be forthcoming shortly. However, they haven't released it to date.</P>


Diablosport is the manufacturer. Companies likes Streetsmart and JEGS are distributors.</P>


Superchip has a similar type tuner though I have never used it for the Mustang personally.</P>

Wedo not have any Predator Tuners for the 98 Mustang GT. 1999 is the earliest year that Diablosport intends to pick up as of now. The only thing Diablo has for that year is their Diablosport Delta Chip. You can find information on those at:</P>
