tune up consists of...
i just got back from AAMCO transmissions thinking i had a problem with my tranny, but the mechanic that inspected my car said that the vibration my car is making isnt the transmission he said that he feels the engine missfiring really bad and suggested that i get a major tune up done. what i was wondering is what is it that i need to do
i have changed the spark plugs, air filter(k&n), & pcv valve. what else do i need to do
also when an engine missfires isnt the check engine light supposed to come on?

You should know the difference betweena misfire and a vibration. "Tune Up" doesn't mean anything anymore. All cars have different intervals now. If you did plugs and PCV that'll be fine. How many miles? What car do you have?
