Default OEM Air Filter vs K & N

Is there any gain in changing from the OEM air filter to a K & N?

I'm new.

A K&N is worth it in my opinion. Flows more air than a paper filter. Not a hell of a lot of money.
If it is over oiled you can get oil on the maf sensor and cause some issues though.

I have not done it myself but from others who have posted - first thing - do NOT touchtheactual sensorwith your finger, cloth or anything else.
Spray carb cleaner on it and that is supposed to clean off the oil residue.

Hopefully anyone who had this actually happen can post.

the maf is the part that connects the plastic to the filter part, its a small part. It measures the air going in so it can match it with the right amount of fuel if im correct.

Don't jack the thread

Yea K&N filters are worth it. Only about 2-4 hp improvement but they're also cleanable/reusable so in the end they wind up being cheaper.

& if you pull the air silencer out it makes the intake sound sweeter lol [8D]
