so it seems like its a 50/50 opinion on flows or mags. im kinda new to the forums so this may sound stupid but what does o/r mean?
and whats the difference between 10s 30s 40s mufflers? i dont know what that means?
what my intenstions where to change out my mufflers and thenchange out my mid pip tobassani's and then run bassani headers. i havent really gotten the chance to listen to magnaflows like i've been able to listen to flowmasters i know flows are pretty loud through every gear.
How are the mags do they have a nice rumble at firstand then open up louder as your rpms get higher?

i know im asking alot of questions its just that this is my first mustang i've owned b4 it i owned an SRT4 so all i really new was the tunner life and that i was sick of getting my *** handed to me by mustangs. so i told myselfone day i was gonna own me a mustang! so in making that drastic change over im having to start all over. i dont really know much about mustangs but i can say that i'm learning more and more everyday just by being on the forums.

yes the magnaflows are loud and a nice good quality system..
O/R stands for "Off-road" which basically means not legal for street use, because they do not have cats. If you go with an O/R or catless midpipe, you will need MIL eliminators or a tune to get rid of the Check Engine Light which will go on...
Personally, I prefer SLP and would go ith them for a catback [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

There's no doubt the QUALITY of Magnaflow is better than Flowmaster. Stainless steel > aluminizied steel as far as longevity goes. Both sound good though, and it's just a matter of preference. Flowmasters will have more tone and sound better at idle and cruising, but the Magnaflows sound better at WOT. For me, I'd rather the car be quiet while cruising and have it be loud when I want it to, rather than loud/droning all the time. Plus my Stang is a daily driver, so I needed to get a stainless steel system.

yea mine is a daily driver too. my cusin has an extreme and it came with magnaflows and i like the fact that its a nice quiet ride until you WOT it. then it sounds really nice. do you know how much magnaflows run for?

I love my Magnaflows. eBayed em for about $400 shipped. They are solid at low RPMs and ROAR at WOT; my particular setup does have a bit of a drone right at 2k RPM though. I still have the stock midpipe on there though, so swapping the midpipe might change how the whole setup resonates and change or eliminate the drone. Haven't checked into that, but I'd still reccomend the Magnas any day of the week.

sweet i found a guy in orlando fl, where i live at its a muffler man shop i doubt you've heard of but he sells flows and magnas i think imma go with the magnas it seems like between flows and magnas its a 50/50 split but ppl seem to like the longevaty of the magnas and the clean sound that they have.
